Father's Day 2013
Today was Father's Day and we didn't have any plans really. One of Michael's riding buddys, Tom asked if we wanted to go see the movie Epic in the early afternoon. He lives in our neighborhood right across the way and he has a little girl named Eliza, who Nani just adores. So we all went to the movies and afterwards Tom invited us over for dinner while the girls went swimming. Tom needed to stop by the grocery store on the way home from the movies, so we took Eliza home with us. In my mind, I thought that I could get in a little practice since we had a new face I've never photographed. (new victim...lol) I asked the girls, "who wants to have a photo shoot?" Both of them were in! They even let me curl their hair! The first shots of Eliza are with my nifty 50 lens. I just love how portraits come out using this super inexpensive lens. I then changed to my favorite walk around lens, my 24-105L. I took about 10 photos of them when Tom came by. I took the rest of the photos at their house. The best part of taking these photos was letting them pose themselves. These two had me laughing with all that they came up with. Mostly all of the photos came out so I had a hard time weeding out the ones that I wouldn't keep. Most are SOOC but I've included doubles of the ones that I used an action on. I tried to stick with one action on the few that I did add it to just so that they wouldn't look too different in uniform. (if that makes any sense.) When I get in the mood to try actions or textures, this group of photos will be my, "go to" photos.:) Anyways, here are the photos from our shoot.
