conquering my color combo phobias....

hi everyone and happy tuesday! this card completes an order i've been working on for a week now. i'm slow, i know. lol so i mentioned in my previous blog entry that my other color combo phobia was black with red....oy! here's my stab at facing my fears...(i did add pink to kind of break up the harshness of the two colors).......

i love you tilda......

so here i am doing something more towards my norm. See, i like purple just not coupled with pink. lol (i have color combo phobias....like black with reds..but that's a whole other post) well this time the order called for purple so i was able to choose the other color and of course i always go with brown. i heart brown! lol so without any further ado here is what i came up with.....

way out of my color comfort zone.....

okay, so this is another card order that had specific colors that she wanted used, a purple and pink combo. it's not that i don't like those colors because i do, just not together. lol i keep on staring at this card and it's just not my usual. the butterfly thing...really out of my comfort zone...maybe that doesn't really go....lol

i would love to get feedback on that honking butterfly and whether i should keep it or nix it! lol

let's get edwin in the picture.....

okay so i had a request from my friend to make a get well card for one of her co-workers. since he is a male she gave me specifics not to use flowers or any little girl stamps. he is an older guy that is under going surgery for some type of cancer, not really sure what kind. hopefully she will like this edwin card...fingers crossed. lol here he is...my very first edwin card...

Semi shabby birthday easel card....

this is a custom card that some one ordered from me so i couldn't go too grungy on it, still trying to keep semi clean lines. just thought i'd share it everyone. oh....i did make the center flower using tim holtz new die cut and spritz it with a little glimmer mist and lightly brushed the edges with pearl powder...and viola a medium size rose.

No Frills Copic Chart....

Okay, i spent a good part of yesterday making my very own copics chart. i have the one from the company but wanted one with bigger rectangles.
